Programmed my SDS200 using Proscan and importing from the RR database. I was set to Kerr County and am having hits where Bandera Co EMS is calling out on 155.520000. The issue is that the RR database has that frequency attributed to "Kerr Co Narc". It's the same broadcast that's (correctly) coming out on Bandera Co Fire Analog 154.972500

I'm not confident enough to edit the database. I just want to let the others know in the area to watch out for this. It might need an update?

Where are you listening from? If you are close to a transmitter there in Bandera County, it could be an image. I don’t see any licenses for 155.520, the closest is 155.5875 in Mico

I'm listening from here in Lakehills (Pipe Creek) in Bandera Co. I see on the Kerr County page that 155.520 is listed as Kerr Co Narc. If I look up 155.520 here, you can see it to Kerr Co as well.

You know more than I but I don't understand how being close to the Bandera transmitter would push out onto another freq. I'm here and the Bandera transmitter is here. I'm 10.5mi as the bird flies from the transmitter. With you in Boerne, I wonder if you'd pick it up on the Kerr freq

Well I am in downtown Laredo right now so I can’t hear it, but images happen when you are very close to a powerful signal, it can depend on a lot of things like the scanner itself, antenna, strength of the signal, bandwidth, etc. The transmitter doesn’t change frequencies you just pick up the audio on random frequencies. That said, it doesn’t look to be the case but there is that 155.5875 down there I have never heard in the air. Try tuning to it and see

That "Kerr Narc" frequency was debated a while back. I don't think it has been used for many, many years. Only go through the area a couple of times a year, I can't say for sure. But I have heard it was used for different things for Kerr County over the years. The license still has about nine months, which was renewed in 2022. A short renewal if it is used for any ops or even mutual aid.
