Hearing Black 2 from LA in Sacramento area.

About 11:07 this am, I started hearing a roll call on the Black 2 from LA on 460.45 PL 127.3
I heard 15, 50, and com 4 units checking in along with streets pertaining to the LA area.
At 11:21 Black 2 was declared to be fully operational, and shortly after that, I heard no more.
That was interesting to say the least. 460.45 is the Capitol Police I believe.

I also noticed this. The only thing I could think of was that they patched Black2 Southern to the UHF system in Sacramento so they could monitor the progress at the Sacramento HQ.

it is possible to have short haul skip on 42-45 not that hard at all

although scannerboy's assumption isn't that far off either -that is also possible

This was heard on 460.45 mhz, not 42/45 mhz. Solid signal. Must have come up here via microwave?

He didn't hear it on VHF/Low. He heard it on UHF. Read the OP.

i will try to find my rptr list for chp uhf i "think" 460.45 is on bald

With the audio switching technology (Made by Raven) it's pretty trivial to link State channels together. As long as it appears on the microwave most anything can be patched together as it's all just audio channels when it hits the switch.
