Hearing Tampa PD on County EDACS system!

Heard what was 453.700 on the county system using a prefix starting with "10". Looks like TPD has finally started the migration.

I've heard TPD and TFR on the Hills. system multiple times, but only for a limited amount of time, like a few minutes, or just overnight - testing the waters, I guess. I haven't had the chance to listen today - have they been on all day (more than a few minutes)?

I am wondering when they do make the switch if Tampa PD will be using their current antenna and repeater sites? If you look in the RR database for the City of Tampa it shows an antenna tower on SR 581 in the Lutz area. I am in Hernando County and hear them fairly well at night but I hear their 453.87500 frequency very good even during the day. I think that frequency hits the SR 581 tower. I rarely hear the Hillsborough West EDACS now. I assume when I do it is due to ducting. I will have to go for an attic mount YAGI when they switch. Deed restrictions prevent an outside antenna.

Right now, I'm hearing District 1, Sector A being SIMULCASTED on talkgroup 1315/10-043. I know it's simulcast because it's complete with the TPD hum, hiss, and buh-beep.

That's TPD SOD/SAC guys. They've had Hillsborough EDACS radios for at least a year, for testing purposes, before the City of Tampa made a firm decision to come onboard Hillsborough's system. Multiple older threads exist on this topic.

They all have radios now FD and PD. There will be a full switch with in a week or so.

I have been listening to the ScanAmerica stream for Hillsborough County (Tampa PD) for a couple of months now. It is noticeably clearer the last few days. I wonder if Tampa PD is being streamed on the County EDACS system? Do any of you know? Thanks.

Also picking up 1320 as a TG now. I believe Bolt21 said above that Tampa is on on the west system. The feed on Scanamerica I believe covers the east are however.
