2030 central, VHF conditions setting up very well. Gilmer .425, Palestine .450, Tyler .475 all coming in full scale. Pretty early in the evening for signals that strong.

Well, the heat dome of '26 is about to end. Caught an unusual signal from the general Houston area a few days ago. 155.340, Life Flight 1 with patient report to unknown hospital. A bit of enhancement that just brought in noise to NOAA channels, the altitude of the helo must have helped. First time in quite a long time for that frequency to pop up.

It was fun while it lasted, but it's time to focus on HF a bit more.

I live in Galveston and I hear traffic All the time on 155.340 , Air medics bringing patients to UTMB medical here in Galveston. I can usually start receiving the helos about 3 miles out , base always comes in loud and clear , however it took me a while of moving my antenna around inside to find a sweet spot for the helos themselves

That was the first hit for me here in DFW. I honestly forgot it was in the scanner.

Hearing Texas Forest Service on TAC A simplex... Definitely  NOT Dx! Pretty big one popped up this morning about 2 miles away. Hope that rain gets here soon.
