I notice in York County, that during times of high heat (like RIGHT NOW), it seems like some of the system's components are adversely affected. The Glen Rock MED-10 base, during high heat, preforms VERY poorly, many times as tho it's only putting out wattage in the low teens.
York County's aging system infrastructure is no help, I'm sure. I doubt the shelter at the Glen Rock tower has adequate climate control, super-heated antenna and transmission line, etc.
Is this a problem that anyone els has experiences? What specific components of a radio system are affected by high heat or other extreme temperatures?
