Helena Digital Trunk System

Strangly enough, I have been monitoring the Helena Digital System for almost a year, and other then the encryption everything has been fine and dandy, however in the past couple weeks the system has gone silent, as well I monitor the analog system which still had a lot of city police and fire activity, but at the same time the analog system for police has gone silent.

Does anyone have an answer as to why this has gone silent?

Check to make sure you have all the control channels programmed in the radio. Sounds like they may have changed the control channel. If the analog system has gone off the air, they may have switched to all digital. If you have a BCD-396, do a search where it only locks in on control channels. Good luck.
