Hi everyone,
I hope you all survived the new year without a bad hangover.

My wife got me a PRO-96 scanner for christmas. What an upgrade from my old PRo-29!!
I live in the Wildomar area of Riverside county. I have been trying for days to get my radio up and running using WIN96 and the awesome files on the database here on RR. But everytime I download them to my scanner I hear almost no tranmissions.
I have been able to get San Diego County up and running ok.
I have made sure all was set for EDACS.

Does anyone happen to have a P96 file they could help me with. I would like to have the Elsinore area to corona, also Murrieta and Fire depts if possible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. My family misses my company.

Thank you in advance,
Bill

Happy New Year Bill, and welcome to the group. No hangover, just took me twelve hours to fly from Phoenix to Sacramento (woulda preferred the hangover!!).

Unfortunately, because your wife did not leave me a PRO-96 under the tree, I can't help you, but did want to welcome you to the group (please talk to your wife about this :) )

If you haven't already, try googling a search for riverside P96 files and see what comes up. I am sure they are out there somewhere. If you are feeling really adventurous, try programming the system manually per the instructions and see if that works. Logic says, if you can hear SD, then you can hear your own county. You may also want to try posting your question to the Radio Shack scanner portion of this board...you certainly cannot be the only one in Riverside county with a PRO-96!

Again, welcome to the board!

Thank you Ryan, 12 hour's? Did the pilot get lost or did he have a hangover. My wife says you were bad on august 23rd thats why no pro-96. hehe. I did google but to no avail. but I did find the SD freq's ok. I guess I am having trouble with Edacs. I Believe I have set the freq's in proper order and I did not use bank 0 either. I can see why so many people get frustrated. But once I have it up and running its going to be a blast.
