Hello , and usb cable for gre-rs scanners

Greetings , im new
just got introduced to this site,
im picking up a pro2096 in the next couple of days on the clear out price
after my local constabulary switched off their old repeater , and jumped on the
motorola smartzone system , and my bearcat 700a went dead

and wondered if anybody had figured out the wiring on the usb programming cable ????

seems to me it would be easy to build one out of an usb cable and a 1/8 stereo plug . if you
just knew the pin outs on the connectors ?????

anybody figure this out yet ?
just cant see paying thirty five bucks for a cble that looks like it could easily be built
