Hello, Help

I am just getting into trunked scanning, I have a BC 780XLT, and I am so confused. With programming it. I heard that it can be programmed from online, but I also read I need to buy software, for the patch etc.. Is there a place I can get the needed software for free from online.
I live in Clackamas County, Oregon.
I'll accept any advice & ideas.

Steve,
There is a CB/Scanner store on Hwy 212/224 about 1 mile
East of I205 that will program your scanner for you. I believe they charge about $20.

Really, I bought my CB there, didn't even think about them programming scanners. I work between there & 205.
