Q: What type of traffic at RAFB would you like to listen to ? ( be specific and get better help here )

A: Military Air Traffic freqs at this weblink: (Randolph Air Force Base Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference)
or mudane flight line ops and their fire dept that use the SAT Military Digital P25 TRS ?

note: As reported in the past, the Base Ops & RAFB PD ( Security Forces ) talkgroups are encrypted
and thus cannot be monitored on a consumer grade scanner and thus no person can host a live feed of etc.

Mark (NC5267) , for the Military P25 TRS, set your system type to MOT VHF/UHF. ( ie 400Mhz UHF )
I also use settings of "Custom" and "Multisite Roam" and Vodoo Magic to get it to trunk track ... lol
The real accient Chinese secret is the in the trunking tables setting, I use a dual offset:
380 758 380 406.150000 12.500
759 759 759 410.900000 12.500

Better yet grasshopper, PM me your email and I will schQQl you with my WIN500 file ;)

ps ~ Congratulations on getting a GREat deal on your new PSR-500 Digital Scanner !
Ah ha, that's why you have not slipped into my Radio Shack for a new Pro-106/197 Scanner ...

That's where I was wrong Mark, it's been so long since I've programmed these I forgot. For some reason I thought the 500 would work fine on these in P25 Auto and the Pro-96 had to have them as "MOT," but I see I'm mistaken. Thanks for your help Michael.

theriotd has been trying to figure out how to program his radio to listen to RAFB, and specifically I think he's looking for the A-A and A-G freqs. He tried submitting a cut n paste of the RAFB page, then asked me in the submission notes to help him program the conventional ground freqs. I can't pm (disabled), and advised him to come here to the forum, but I can't tell if he has been helped or is still trying to figure this site out.
