Just wanted to write a small introduction. I have been interested in radio from many angles. Had a ham ticket before but wore it out lol. Not gonna happen i just don't want it.

I enjoy digital decoding. Able to use DSD+ for many available modes in the software. I like to monitor local trunked law enforcement, other agencies sometimes even commercial. I once tried POCSAG/FLEX but hospitals are such a bore.

I decode AFSK1200 (APRS/Packet)
DRM
DMR
Provoice
DGPS
PSK
MFSK
FSK
WEFAX
STANAG (really limited to French US Navy test transmissions)

Just to name a few

I run RTL-SDR dongles with HDSDR, SDRuno, RTL1090, Dump1090 ya i enjoy that ADS-B stuff.
Running Virtual Radar Server watching the planes fly by is kind of neat. It's an added bonus having plane pictures or thumbnails loaded. Been letting VRS's database writer plug in do the building. It uses the info provided online per ICAO as long as it's available. Max distance Ive seen running an indoor antenna is 58 miles.

My most recent RTL-SDR is the Nooelec NESDR Smart with 0.5ppm TCXO in a metal enclosure. Works well. I've been hearing NOAA Weather radio stations about 40-50 miles away on it. Indoor antenna too.

I do enjoy using websdr receivers.

Since this is only radio related tha'ts all folks! See around in the forums :)
