help 5k off

I have a FT2800.my voice sounds like it is 5k off. I have a good ground.checked my freq. out put and I am on the money.It is not as bad on some freq's,so we checked the out put on all freq's and I am right on the money.I am not using my new radio,and am off the air,driving me crazy.Any suggestions would help

Many of the reviews of this radio on eHam.net cite audio problems:

I kept getting awful audio reports - like I was talking through a sheet of cellophane, just worse.

Complaints are that the signal is "more muddy" and "fuzzy" - readable but not clear.

Sounds as if it's a design problem.
