I pulled out my USB/Serial to 4-pin adapter from my 396 this morning and soon realized that the entire 4-pin socket came out, on the end of the adapter.
Anyone else ever seen this before??
Anyone know if I can tackle the job of repairing this myself???
Any help/suggestions would be great.
The radio itself works perfectly but I am no longer able to hook it up to the computer for programming.
Thanks.

My 246T had that problem. I sent it to Uniden and they only charged me $10, even though the warranty had already expired.

The same thing happened to my 250-d scanner several years ago, and I waiting for my 396t scanner to come back because the same thing happened to this scanner, I sent it into RadioWorld in Toronto and they are fixing it.
