I'm looking for the dept that would have someone called "Boy-71" as a unit number. I know that Canby is Boy but there wasn't number before the Boy.

Thanks
Mike

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7D11 Safari/528.16)

I'm guessing on CCOM. I've heard several times where deputies don't say the numeric prefix such as the deputy assigned to Happy Valley.

Yes, I know.
The OP mentioned Canby, but, he also didn't know who he was hearing. Since he is in Portland, and with Clark Co right across the river, I thought he might be hearing Clark Co Sheriff. I listen to Clark Co from Hillsboro. I also know that Boy is a unit designation for Clark Co Sheriff in the A.M. as in Boy81 (valid unit who I know), or possibly the Boy71 that he was wondering about.
That is why I brought up Clark Co.

As I type this I just got a text from someone confirming that there is a Boy71 at Clark Co Sheriff.
And that would be graveyard shift.

Looks like you have the right answer, Greg. But we'll probably never know because the original poster hasn't even acknowledged any of us who have tried to help.
If people gave ALL the info. in the first place it would make things go a lot smoother.

True. How many "what scanner are you trying to program" or "where are you/what system" type replies have we all read. But I'll still try to help when/if I can.

Thanks guys for all your help. It was a stolen radio where person stated "boy71". Canby PD stated it wasn't them. However they do have a Boy71 Unit.

If you had replied to the questions, it would have been easier for us to reply.
And perhaps we are still interested.
Where did you hear it?

Knowing the OP, I'm pretty sure he heard it on CCOM LAW 1.
