I'm a new user of a BCD536HP. We have 2 family members teachers at Chenango Valley Central School system, located in Binghamton, NY. When I check the FCC licenses for our county (Broome) it does show the Chenango Valley School freqs. but for the life of me, neither can I find them in Sentinel or ARC536 when I pull up our county. In fact I don't see any school systems displayed other than our State Univ. of Binghamton posted in RadioReference. Wouldn't the schools be posted in RR or are many like these needed to be manually entered into our scanners? Thanks for any insight on this.. Racking my head when I see the freqs. displayed in RR, yet not able to upload them into my State/County database.

RR Info is built upon member submissions.

If no one has made a submission of the Information [PL, DPL, NAC, DMR etc] from actual OTA [Over the Air] monitoring it won't be there.

You might want to search the FCC
https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/General_Menu_Reports/
See what you find, listen a bit and then make a submission to the DB
once would validate actual use along with PL, DPL, individual school etc

Yes. They would need to be manually imported to the software. How many people do you think that listen to individual schools? It's not up to RR to search and put them in the database. It's up to you, the individual. Are you all so dependent on the database??

My goodness.

Some buses still operate on the old SERS channels on VHF, but many districts either have their own licenses for other frequencies or are using conventional repeaters and trunked systems operated by various radio shops. As community repeater and trunked users no longer need individual licenses, identification is more challenging.
