help fix pro 2023 police scanner

i have a realistic pro2023 scanner that lost frequency range 137-174 when lighting struck in the area.the unit still plays all the rest of frequency ranges and i can program frequency in the 137-174 but it will not stop on a active channel to listen to.i have a old handheld scanner i thank i can get parts, but i dont know which part to get to help me.please post any ideas to help me with this problem.also i did a system restore with no luck on back of unit.

And you would rather fix it than use it as an excuse to get a newer scanner:D Isn't that a late 80's, early 90's scanner? There are so many things that could have gone bad courtesy of the lighning strike. I'm sure that it would be cheaper and less frustrating to get a new inexpensive base at the shack than to trouble shoot what could be wrong. Of course, if you got lots of time on your hands, and the equipment to test the circuit boards. By all means go for it:)
