• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

I have 2 devices DM3600 and I want to connect the two only without REPETER so I programed them as follows:
First device (TX: 144) and (RX: 148)
Second device (TX148) and (RX: 144)
That is, the first device reverses the second

When the experience found a problem in both devices is that the device does not send and shows a warning tone and if you continue to press the message appears "NO REPETER"

What is the solution I want to link them without repeter

Why are you running split frequencies?

The radio is expecting a timing signal from the repeater since you're not operating simplex (on the same frequency). It's expecting a repeater to answer.

Try programming TX and RX frequencies the same and verify it works properly.

I have a solution to the problem of using and fixing the TALK AROUND but I wanted another solution without activating it but I have not found yet

What about this video :

Analogue, and he is using 2 different frequencies... it’s hard to tell by the horrible video. It’s 2 mobiles in a rack mount. The left radio clearly says there is no receive tone. The right radio is the transmitter. There is not enough info to know if it’s cross band or in-band.

Unless you use a radio capable of being a simplex repeater, or as you did in a previous video(I think it was you) it’s not working.

When you program your receive and transmit frequencies different(NOT a simplex channel) in DMR mode, the radio is going to send wake up packets in order to get the repeater it thinks is there, to transmit and set up your voice call on the time slot determined by the radio programming. Period. No way around it with out rewriting the firmware. If you did rewrite the firmware, to notsend the wake up packets, the radio would not know whattime slot it was transmitting on.

I made an idea and the experiment remained: I brought 2 DM3600 and I tied them from the back the connection method as follows:
Device 1:
The PIN # 19 is dedicated to PL / Talkgroup Detect
PIN # 20 for Ext Mic PTT
Device 2:
The PIN # 19 is dedicated to PL / Talkgroup Detect
PIN # 20 for Ext Mic PTT
Connection Method:
1- I arrived from PIN19 for the first device to PIN 20 for the second device
2- It also arrived from PIN20 of the first device to PIN 19 of the second device
3 - arrived from the PIN 14 (RX AUDIO) of the first device to PIN 11 (TX AUDIO) of the second device
4 - arrived from the PIN 11 (TX AUDIO) for the first device to PIN 14 (RX AUDIO) for the second device

And set the first device at a frequency of 150
The other machine on the 140
I want him to connect two groups that are far apart

Set the first group devices on the frequency of 140 and the other group devices to 150

If a person from the first group speaks, those around the person hear it directly because they are on the same frequency and the other group hears it through the repeater.

I tried it within the boundaries of the house and stayed to try it across long distances
