greetings friends. new to scanner world. have radio shack pro-2055. need help or suggestions on getting the ball rolling

Welcome to Radio Reference! Hang in there and you will get great help here in the Colorado forum. I'm not sure if your scanner can do the DTRS system or the ESK on most EDACS systems. There are some really smart people here that will reply soon to your question.

Tracy, Welcome to the list Otero County is on the states Digital Trunked Radio System (DTRS) and your Pro-2055 will not scan such a system but you might check the FAQ Wiki's on here to help you understand the system and the lingo.

Also are you aware there is an online feed available for your area?
