HELP - HP-1 Deaf

My HP-1 after updating software is deaf on all by 800 P25 trunked system, not even hearing WX. Any ideas on fix ? I'm a dummy and will need detailed instructions. Thanks

Try a different antenna and/or make sure the antenna/adapter is not broken and is threaded on and seated properly.

Toggle the Attenuator.

Also what happens when you drop the squelch all the way on a Weather channel?

I would do the firmware update again.

More information is needed. You updated the FIRMWARE on the HP-1 or the SOFTWARE on your computer? What version? If you updated the HP-1 firmware, try downgrading--there are a few posts on how to do that, it's simple. Go to this website: FW - OpenUniden and download a version prior to the one you installed. Then plug your HP-1 into your computer and drag and drop the downloaded file into the firmware folder on the SD card. Unplug the HP-1 and it'll auto load the firmware.

Did you try headphones or an external speaker?
