This system has no activity on it. Receiving it in Tampa, but I think we have a band opening tonight. Sys ID 56D is not in RadioReference and FCC searching finds nothing conclusive.

Anyone know what system this is?

This is already in the DB as Crystal River 3 Nuclear Power Plant, albeit with no System ID or WACN listed.

I'd recommend that you submit your findings, Homeboy, via the Submit button at this link:

https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=8678

Submit the SysID (56D), WACN (BEE00), and a full list of all frequencies you've seen active on the system (which appears to be all of the frequencies on the license).

Looks like your submission would make that system complete in the database.

Thank you,

Mike

Good deal, dog. Glad someone was able to snuff this one out. I've submitted a lot of stuff on the database, but couldn't figure out this one.

Hardware/Software Configurations

Good deal, dog. Glad someone was able to snuff this one out. I've submitted a lot of stuff on the database, but couldn't figure out this one.

I am curious as to what radio system(s) you are using for your trunking exploring. I would imagine UniTrunker comes into play somewhere, but I am also interested in your hardware configurations. I am starting to mess around with some of the SDR dongles and was curious if you were using a regular scanner or an SDR/dongle to find new trunked systems.

I welcome any help you can offer.

Thanks much,
Vince

I have 2 SDR dongles that I use with DSD+ Fast Lane. I also have a scanner with a discriminator tap mod for use with DSD+ Fast Lane. Sometimes it's better using the scanner because it's a lot more versatile for searching than the dongles.

Unitrunker can also be used with dongles and/or a discriminator tapped scanner.
