Hi,

Live in Sudbury, MA (Middlesex)

Playing with my SDS 200 and Close Call for the first time.

Always locks on 93.7 MHz.

Anyone know what this is ?

And the screen shows FMB
What's the "B" ?

Thanks,
Bob

turn off CC, or remove the FM broadcast band from the spectrum it searches for close call.

Hi,

Thanks for info and help.

I guess it's WEEi.

Discounted this possibility, as I am using the Close Call mode in the SDS 200, and apparently
their transmitter is in Peabody, while I'm in Sudbury.

Seems awfully far apart for the Close Call function, but...?

Thoughts ?

Bob

Close Call is a relative term. It's all about the signals strength above ANY other signal in the band. If a signal is around 18 dB above any other signal it will trigger Close Call. With a 34 kW ERP that station can easily be that much stronger.

WEEI-FM puts about 64-66dbu of signal over Sudbury, except in the deepest valleys where it drops slightly lower.
