Help in My Home Town

Hi, I am a ham radio operator but have been away from scanners for some years. I do own a Uniden BC250D scanner. However, trying to learn how to program this scanner following the different user guides has me pulling my teeth out. I am interested in at least talking to someone in the Greater New Orleans area that is familiar with this scannner that can instruct me on how to program this scanner. As it is I am just using the service functions of the scanner. It does have the APCO 25 card installed so it does have a lot of capabilities. wow thats a noce radio, i had one years ago and also hmm well the 250 wont get the lsp system but jeff parish will work but i think that is all but abandoned that
