I recently purchased a new TYT TH-7900 Duel Band Base/Mobile Radio Needless to say that the Owners Manuel is somewhat confusing (especially to a beginner to duel band radios such as myself. Front I understand (from the owners manual), I should be able to program frequencies to memory the VHF band on either the left or right side of the display screen and vice versa. my problem is this...Say for instance, I save VHF frequencies to memory on the left side of the screen. NO PROBLEM...Now, when I try to enter UHF frequencies to memory on the right side of the screen, for some weird reason, it writes what is stored on the left side over to the right side. It CLEARLY states that I can store VHF on one side. There is a Toll free number listed in the owners manual which is out of service 😂! THAT helps a whole heck of a lot! I thought that I would my dalema here in hopes there might be a Ham Operator who might be familiar with the TYT TH-7900. If there is someone who can help me with my situation, I will leave my Email address below.
