Before I invest in a radio I want to see if the digital modes are something I would be interested in. I've decided to try and monitor some of the PSK31 traffic using the various kiwisdr online radios and FLDigi. I've downloaded VB-Audio cables and installed them to link the sdr and FLDigi.
The FLDigi audio setup has the capture device as "CABLE Output (VB-Audio Virtual Cable)"
and the Playback as "CABLE Input (VB-Audio Virtual Cable)".
If I select "Speakers" or "Headphone" from the taskbar I can hear the audio from the SDR but there is no activity on the waterfall in FLDigi. If I select "CABLE Input (VB-Audio Virtual Cable)" from the taskbar the FLDigi waterfall begins and I can decode, but I can't hear anything.
Is this normal or is there some way to pipe the audio signal to FLDigi and be able to hear it at the same time?
Thanks,
Kent, K5KNT
