2) Make a scanner that can interface with internet and be able to play radio feeds thru the scanner example Broadcastify yet have its normal operations .
The 536HP series
was supposed to do this (I believe I saw something on it but it has been years) but probably through Uniden's servers. But since we 536 owners still haven't gotten
everything that was listed on the box, they release a bunch of other models while we are sitting with a scanner that was not 100% @ time of purchase. Did I know about said issues when I purchased mine? Yes, I had read about it on here but still decided to buy one as my local county switched from analog to P25 and I had nothing to listen to them on. I know there was issues with even getting the WiFi dongle to work to start but to even listen now remotely you have to use VPN to access the scanner outside of your home or use 3rd party software, ie: ProScan, and then just listen to the audio stream and not have VPN or control. On my iPhone it still works (barely) and android just crashes anymore.
Would be nice to have a hard wired solution (dongle of some sorts) that would replace the WiFi dongle and many have asked for it in the past. I am not holding my breath for anything more to transpire for the 536 line though. I hardly even listen to it online as having the calls system on Broadcastify, I can actually hear more than what I would on the scanner itself. Except if something is going on that is not allowed to stream then I will listen to scanner as that private stream is full open.
Sorry if sounded more like a rant, but just want the 536 line to get the updates it needs to be as advertised.
