Knowing what S/N the new material was introduced would be helpful. If not, I understand. As a Manufacturing Engineer, it was almost impossible to get the design guys to change the P/N to identify a significant change. LOL

That information regarding serial numbers of units involving even minor changes is held pretty close to the vest by manufacturers. The last thing any company wants is to have thousands of units already in the supply chain, with more being added on a regular basis, and customers calling up dealers attempting to "cherry pick" through inventories.

2) Make a scanner that can interface with internet and be able to play radio feeds thru the scanner example Broadcastify yet have its normal operations .

The 536HP series was supposed to do this (I believe I saw something on it but it has been years) but probably through Uniden's servers. But since we 536 owners still haven't gotten everything that was listed on the box, they release a bunch of other models while we are sitting with a scanner that was not 100% @ time of purchase. Did I know about said issues when I purchased mine? Yes, I had read about it on here but still decided to buy one as my local county switched from analog to P25 and I had nothing to listen to them on. I know there was issues with even getting the WiFi dongle to work to start but to even listen now remotely you have to use VPN to access the scanner outside of your home or use 3rd party software, ie: ProScan, and then just listen to the audio stream and not have VPN or control. On my iPhone it still works (barely) and android just crashes anymore.

Would be nice to have a hard wired solution (dongle of some sorts) that would replace the WiFi dongle and many have asked for it in the past. I am not holding my breath for anything more to transpire for the 536 line though. I hardly even listen to it online as having the calls system on Broadcastify, I can actually hear more than what I would on the scanner itself. Except if something is going on that is not allowed to stream then I will listen to scanner as that private stream is full open.

Sorry if sounded more like a rant, but just want the 536 line to get the updates it needs to be as advertised.

The only thing I would like is a less buggy Siren for Android. Other than that, while I'm sure it caused UPMan some angst, they got every thing sorted out.

My 536's do everything I expected and I did not misread the box I have 6 of them.

I am sorry, but I have read to many negatives on the sds 100/200 and I don't believe either one is worth $700.00 dollars plus upgrades.

As they say, one man's meat is another man's poison. Just to point out what most here know already. "Worth" is very subjective. As my friend, The Internet. just told me, "Subjective theory of value is the idea that an object's value is not inherent and is instead worth more to different people based on how much they desire or need the object."

And I hope that extinguishes that fire. Incidentally Fire321, I used to ride quite a bit with Engine Company 321 in Brooklyn NY. Your screen name just popped a lot of fond memories in my head.

@JoeBearcat On Sentinel Color Scheme on the "FUN" Some reason on the last updates on Sentinel a box appears than someone figured it out you have to reverse the colors around. I ask UPMan to look at when he was doing FW Updates. I don't know if something changed and they couldn't find the issue.

I thought that is by design. The function key is reverse back & text colors. Same with the soft keys. They could change it so the color picker will show the opposite but then they will get more complaints and it will cause other problems in the scanner and software.

"Reversed" is the normal function (pun intended) of the Function icon. You can change that if you like.

Are you saying when programmed as above and you press Function on your scanner you see white on black?

Good day! My name is Evgeniy. I live in Russia. I am a big fan of Uniden scanners. I also do their repair and customization. With pleasure, I would consider it a great honor to cooperate with you in terms of testing firmware and identifying problems in the operation of scanners.

If you set a database avoid in Sentinel, it will persist after the database is updated. But if you set an avoid in the scanner, it gets overwritten by what's in Sentinel the next time you write to the scanner.

NAC decoding on Phase 2 calls is incorrect, Phase 1 seems to be decoded properly. This prohibits you from using the site NAC feature if your system has any Phase 2.

I would like to see a favorites list hold feature. The only way to make this happen now is to have one favorites list per system, and use system hold. I have some favorite lists that have multiple systems, and would like to be able to hold on those lists.

@JoeBearcat - My SDS200 never shows a RSSI value when monitoring a DMR Hytera XPT system (during a transmission). The decode works fine as I can hear the users and see talk groups displayed on the screen. But, the RSSI field shows nothing during the transmissions. Please note my SDS200 works fine and displays the RSSI value for P25, NXDN, and other DMR systems. Is there something odd about XPT transmissions?

I don't have a picture but screen shot this one. Left side where the box is. If you put Text White and Blue Background the white square pops up instead blue background. Here is the screen shot I took from https://forums.radioreference.com/t...200-color-schemes.383516/page-13#post-3454874
