Hi Sir,

All is in the title.
I purcahsed a HackRF One and I want to use it with SDR#.
By googleling I found it was necessary to change the driver with Zadig with the same drive as used for my SDR RTL USB. Is that correct?
I did it, but my SDR# doens't detect the HarckRF One.

Is there something else I have to do?
Can you advise me?

Many thanks.

I've used the HackRFOne with SDR# in the past, to my knowledge it uses the same Zadig driver. When you open up SDR# it should give you a choice of the types of SDR receivers to use. HackRFOne should show up as one of the choices. If not, go back and start up Zadig, then click on the Options and have it list all the devices, You should have you HackRF plug in already though. It should show up then. Continue on, load the proper driver. Then, shut the computer off and restart, all the time with the HackRF plugged in.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
Many thanks for your comment.
I double checked and the driver is properly installed. As it is the same one for my RTL SDR USB. So, This is OK.
I just understood that HackRF.dll was missing.
now installed!
It works fine!!
Thanks

I forgot how to do that. Many brain cobwebs are in the way :). I'd go on the HackRF website and check some links. Other software or operating systems (Ubuntu?) might be needed to get the serial # and latest software version. I don't think SDR# can do that. Also, there is a tutorial on HackRF One by M. Ossman, the inventor, all on YouTube. He gets into lots of detail, more for experimenters and hackers but the first lesson or two will help you out.

Let us know how you like yours, I used mine mostly for listening to radio signals. It worked great on medium wave, shortwave, and above. I used a 43 foot vertical for low bands, and a discone for VHF and above. I think I've had three HackRFOnes already, but sold them. Might get another someday, who knows.

And you can go to https://www.rtl-sdr.com/ and look for past articles on the HackRFOne.

Have fun with yours.

If you set it up right, when you select Hackrf device you should see the serial number beside the device that you picked.
Not sure if you need the hackrf tools for windows, but it helps when you need to update firmware.

Foxtail you are correct. I think Mike Ossman covers that in his first lesson on YouTube.

Another good video is:

I never pay attention that S/N was visible with SDR#.

My SDR# version is 1.0.0.1700 and now it truns properly my HACKRF ONE.
But the hackRF One menu I unfolded doesn't give me my HackRf serial number. Which version of SDR# or Hackrf.dll are you using?
Cheers
