Help needed with the Phoenix RWC System

Hello all,

I’m trying to program my 996XT to receive the PFD 800 system. I’m aware it’s not used much but I have heard nothing on it. I also tried the PPD system with no luck. I was able to hear the MCSO system.

I’m looking help with setting the system, sites up etc. I’ve read all the info I can find and tried many different ways of programming. Please feel free to contact me direct at rgaun@aol.com

If you are programming by hand, make sure you are set to P25 trunk system.

Considering you are in Sun City, you will be out of range of the Simulcast B system. You will need to program Simulcast G or the White Tanks site. Fire talkgroups are carried on these sites too.

I've put both sites in the radio with only K6 & K7 talk groups. White Tanks had a very weak signal however, West Valley is comming in clear. I've only copied traffic on K6 so far but it seems to be working.
