HELP on ICR-1 wont power anymore

I have a full 800mhz ICR1 which I have not used in many years and now it wont turn on, I have an adapter for alkaline batteries, I have charged and I have tried with the power car adapter and it just doesnt power, I would appreciate some help. thanks

Mine has the same exact problem. 11 Years old now. I just bought an R-20 and will send the R-1 in to get fixed,

Here is the answer to your problem with your icom r-1....got mine at a pawn shop for 10 bucks and it didnt power up either......"Hold in the function button when turning it on"....this should and most likely will fix the problem with it not powering up anymore....let me know how it goes .....Doug in Baltimore
