I am thinking buying a new radio for listen communications.. I want a really good one with best range possible.. I would like to listen to HF frequencies over the atlantic ocean in transatlantic flights..so I am talking now about HF
frequencies. I have read reviews in strongsignals and I found that
YUPITERU MVT-7100 is probably a good choice. Is this correct? Or
nowadays it will be better buying another one? I am asking you this
because the reviews and the radio are a bit older.. I want basically
to cover frequencies from few KHZ until 180Mhz essentially. More
frequencies better but this is the range that I want the radio to
receive better in a high range as possible. On the other hand, I don't
want to spent too much money on it (no more than ~300USD). So, what radio you advice me to buy?

Thanks

If you don't need trunking or digital, the 7100 will do just what you want. I don't think there is a better broadband portable made for anywhere near the price.
