Do i have to import all the channels for a tower or just the primary and alternate channels?

Also can i put more than one tower in a bank, sure would make things easier.

Thanks in advance,

Greg

You only need to put in the control and alternate frequencies. You can put more than one tower in a bank. I have bank #2 of my pro96 programed with towers that I can pick up here in the Grand Rapids area.

You only need the pri and alt CC's. To put multiple sites in a bank, put a non zero conventional freq between sites:
Site114 Ch04 867.92500 MOT 0.0
Site114 Ch05 868.42500 MOT 0.0
Site114 Ch07 868.92500 MOT 0.0
blank 1300.00000 FM 0.0
Site311 Ch05 867.87500 MOT 0.0
Site311 Ch06 868.37500 MOT 0.0
Site311 Ch07 868.87500 MOT 0.0

GR/Kent Co. isn't on MPSCS. You need all the conventional frequencies.

They do have a radio on MPSCS, listen on fridays around noon and you will hear Ottawa County EOC doing radio checks. You would be suprised who has access to MPSCS in Kent County.

Add National Weather Service Grand Rapids to that list of MPSCS radio's in Kent County. They are on TG: EMD District 6 during Severe WX and Emergency Management exercises.

Unless things have changed, the vast majority of traffic is (or at least recently was) conventional. Certainly lots of agencies have access, and all the EOCs around usually do a weekly radio test. I only receive Wayland intermittently so its possible things are different that they were..... NWS does indeed have a MPSCS radio, as well as a conventional one for Battle Creek Emergency Services.
