HELP pro-164

My scanner was working okay... then... I do not know what I did.. now is not working anymore. I bought th e software and cable to get all the frequencies here in Jefferson City Missouri... and now... I dont get to hear not even the weather band...
what do I do?
I tried to reset the scanner... install the frequencies again... put them all in bank 0 and nothing....
what do I do?

hmmm my guess is the BNC connector inside the radio i s loose or did you enablet he bank that you reloaded the freqs into??? after you did the reset.

Maybe they changed to the statewide digital system. You had better ask in the Missouri forum.

The OP stated that he has a Pro-164 which is NOT digital....

Not trying to be a smart-a$$...but have you tried checking the power supply, making sure you have fresh batteries in the scanner or are using the yellow battery holder vs. the black holder, alkaline batteries with the charger plugged in? Sometimes it's the simplest, silliest thing that's causing the problem.

On the screen of the scanner, there are the ten banks: 0-9. Does Bank 0 have a flashing number? It will be the farthest left on the screen. Have you tried going through the bank manually by pressing MAN? Do you see any frequencies in the bank channels? If not, then the software didn't send it to the scanner. Under the Scanner tab on the software make sure you click on upload to the 164/163, 300/400 line. Otherwise, the radio will not get programmed.
And, no from what the database shows, your county is not digital. There is a tower for the area, but it is on 700MHz and if/when the county goes digital, you'll need a 106/197 to monitor.
