Help Program Atlantic City Pd Trunked

I have recently received a PSR 500 and am having trouble programming the Atlantic City PD trunked system. Can't get it to work. This is after reading directions quite a few times. I am not sure where to enter which parameters where after creating the trunked object. Right now I have TSYS as P25 Auto, tag ACPD, ID 12224, type group, tag ID wildcard. Took the info from the database here. They are about 20 miles away so I should here them, as I receive other conventional stations even farther. I am finding the learning curve on trunked systems difficult. Have had conventional scanners for years, life was a lot simpler. Help please.

Welcome to your new scanner and here to, you have bought a great scanner one thing i would do if where would be to download a software program to help you program you scanner.

your scanner should have came with a USB programing cable the above software is free to use for 30 days and if you get a Premium Subscription here you can do a web import and you will be up and running in no time at all, if not I would down load the free software and use it to program your scanner
and one more thing you can look in your state forum here and find a lot of help there to.

If this is the system your talking about http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=2148 it needs to be set up as a Motorola 800 Type II system it's not a P25 type system.
