Help program my PRO-94

I just bought this thing about a month ago and have been having great fun listening in. But my problem is does it matter whether I program talk groups in or not? If I do, I am having a heck of a time figuring out how. I even have the instructions that I downloaded of the RadioSHack site. Help!?!?

You dont need to program talkgroups. The point of programming with the PRO-94 is so that you can lock out certain talkgroups you dont want to listen to. If you dont program them, you will just receive all the active talkgroups.

Of course you want to program talkgroups! You can put fire in one bank, ems in another etc.

from search mode/ press scan then progam 1-1 puts you to bank one #1.
5-3 would be bank 5 #3.
