Help Programming my pro 2096

Hi...I bought this scanner new when they came out.....Someone on here walked me thru the programming for my area.....then they started encrypting and I put it back in the box until now...I hear they are doing less encrypting and I wanna try listening again....somehow it lost its programming and needs to be done again......anyone interested in walking me thru the programming again I would appreciate it...Thanks

First you should to send it to Whistler to get it upgraded to a Whistler ws1080. Your scanner is crippled as a RS pro-668 and will be less then enjoyable. See whistlers website for the legacy upgrade.

Suggest you research the OP's Pro 2096 and rethink your reply.

I was looking at the new uniden bcd536hp and they are crazy expensive....especially since the police encrypt there communications so you cannot hear them anyway.

Not all PD are encrypting. It depends on your area.

I live in a small town and they have went digital...I have heard a lot of officers hate it.

I would like to see a U.S map of how many areas have gone digital ?

The scanner is busy all the time now....it was not doing much when I was using the pre programmed freqs.

As soon as I put those tower freqs in...it came to life big time.
