HELP! SCAN MODE Locked on my 246T!!

Used the UASD Demo program to upload some frequencies and somewhere along the way after loading the freq.'s & checking to make sure they were, I hit a wrong key (or keys?) and now I get this message when the 246T is turned on:

Scan Mode
All Locked!

I tried unlocking the scanner by the instructions on Page 72 of the manual, and it didn't work!!
How do I unlock it and get it working again? HELP!

I don't have my manual with me now,so I'm not sure what page 72 said to do, but usualy when it says "all locked" you can just hit any of the quick keys to get it going again.

Do you have systems saved to certian quick keys? If so you should be able to just hit that key and it should come back to life.

Also, if your quick key is "on", and it's still showing locked, try holding down the L/O button for 2-3 seconds until it "beeps", that will unlock all the frequencies on that system. (in case you might have accidentally locked out all the freqs./channels)

ILbandit: Wellll, I got everything unlocked and scanning again before I read your post -- and I still have no idea how I did it. I managed to hit the right button or buttons that unlocked it just by guess and hope

One thing I was getting was the L/O symbol on the Conventional system in the scanner.

I'd like to ask 246T users for some ideas on what I might've done that began the problem, and maybe the info will help keep the same thing from happening to other users too.

Say you have quick keys 1, 2, and 8 programmed. During scan mode, if you turn them all off by pressing keys 1, 2, and 8, you get that message. I remember being quite confused about that when I first got my 246T.

On my 245xlt, one couldn't disable all of the banks. If you tried to turn off all programmed banks, bank one would become active automatically.

At least you go tit going, If you had the L/O symbol, you probably accidentally locked out a whole system or something.

If it happens again, just try the L/O button trick and it should clear you up.
