Happy New Year to all, Put my BCT15 away for house renovations and sort of forgot about it, winter is here and now want to play with the scanner, my dilema is in the meantime my hard`drive crashed and lost all my downloads etc. starting from scratch again, boy did I forget a lot ( not that I was that proficient to begin with) had lots of trouble with trunk tracking, systems groups etc. Would anyone be willing to part with a file I could download with some frequencies that I could build on outlining the correct way, as well as any suggestions to make programming easier? what downloads are required to get things back on line. I can appreciate the time one can spend on this so would not have a problem making it worth your while. My location is Sarnia Ont. so very close to the U.S.border, did attempt to download some freq.in the past that worked, now I am dealing with trying to get my PC to recognize the BCT15, using the USB cable, will keep working on this. Thank you for any response to this dilema.

You may want to join Scanont on Yahoo Groups (if you aren't already a member). There is a files section there and perhaps someone has uploaded a file for your area. Aside from that, you should be able to program in the analog Fleetnet talkgroups (EMS mainly) for the Sarnia area, as well as lots of county fire (and Michigan fire stuff). As the BCT15 is an analog radio you won't be able to receive OPP or Michigan State Police (or Sarnia Police for that matter, but it's a moot point since they run full time encryption). You should be able to pickup some activity on the OPP analog repeater frequencies however.

Do you have to have the Arc software for your radio? I had a BC246T that I programmed with Arc246, and if I'm not mistaken you should be able to import my files into Arc15.

Thank you for your reply, yes I do have ARC15 installed.
