Help - trunking? group numbers?

Just got the pro 97- have the pro 93 and liked the idea of following the calls -

I am completely lost and am looking for the area that explains it all.

I see you have owned a Pro- 93 , so I would presume you are familiar with trunktracking ?

What system are you interested in monitoring ?
From there we could look at the database and have a starting point for the talk group numbers.

Maybe someone could be of assistance in the Radio Shack Discussion
Forum , with an answer specific to your radio.

I just bought the same scanner. The truncking process does not make a lick of sense. Is there any good newbie resource out there that explains the truncking process in english?
