HELP Uniden UBC3300/BC250D Missing Firmware

Located in Toronto Canada.. does anyone have any advice as to how I can get the firmware loaded back on this device? The device is BRAND NEW and still has the plastic on it,.. i know it is several years old etc, but I would be a shame to have a mint condition scanner that is essentially a paper weight. When you turn it on, it light up, but no software is present.. I was able to load the 296 firmware to it, but when it gets to the end it says FAIL, re-connect the scanner.

Any ideas?

If you register it in "All My Scanners" is there not any firmware showing for it?

Did you try joining UnidenBC250D : Uniden Bearcat BC250D to see if they have any files?

Which scanner do you have, UBC3300 or BC250D? If it is the UBC3300, there is probably no support for it at Uniden America. The BC250D never had any user loadable firmware and it would have to be sent back to Uniden America if they can reload the firmware.

its the 3300.. and i think im pooched.. very unfortunate as its mint condition.
