HELP! Westland Fire Garbled transmissions

I am farily new to digital trunking, and i am having some problems with it here in westren wayne county i have a bc796d scanner with a 50' omniderectional scanner antenna in the city of westland and when i enter the frequency's and talk groups some come in clear and some come in Garbled mainly westland fire comes in garbled kind of like a am side band garbled but not that bad. i tryed tuning the sound quality it got a little better but not good enough i was wondering if someone else has experenced the same type of problem or if they have the same or simular equipment and can recieve westland fine

I have a Pro-96 and the entire Western Wayne County system has been garbled or "bonking" out over the past couple days. Before, it was fine, though. :?:

the reception has been like that since i purchased the scanner i have also herd that it maybe reception but i have 6/6 bars for the frequencys
