Help with 246t

I have a 246t ,i cant seem to get the system and groups to display at the bottom

Did you enable the systems? Did you assign a System Quick Key to your systems? Did you enable that System Quick Key (no, that's not the same question as the first one). For the latter, press a button: 0-9 while scanning.

Likewise, did you enable the groups, assign GQKs, and enable those?

I bought my scanner used,it did not come with software or cable.
im programming the scanner by hand
