I am working on a Pro 92 for a family member and need some assistance with programming of the unit. It appears as if it can be programmed via a computer program. I also need to know how to reset the unit. I must say it appears way diiferent to program compared to a Uniden.
I had it in a pile of radios that I never used now I wanna let this family member use it
Please help
Thanks

to reset the unit-- Turn off the scanner and then turn it on again--turn the radio on its side so your looking at the hole where the power cord would go, next take a paper clip and insert it into the smaller hole to the right of the larger hole and gently press the reset button inside the opening

I don't know how to program the radio via a computer program but i can explain to you how to do it by hand.

This is the link to the manual. Page 75 tell about reset, which doesn't clear memory, and initialize, which does.

I use "win92" for programming. It requires a cable. I don't know what the current availabilty is. My ICOM programming cable works for it with a connector adapter, so I never had the factory cable. The software & cable didn't come with the scanner.
