Ok i have over 50 channels programed in this scanner. Problem is it only goes to 20 and then re-scans. Can someone tell me how to make it scan all 50. Thanks (feel kind of stupid but i tried everything)

Channels....
On the 2096, you should be able to put 50 channels in EACH bank. Or, if you want 10 channels in five banks, you can do that too. If you have all of your channels in a single bank, everything over 20 must be "locked out". Simply go to each channel manually (above 20) and look for an "L" on the top line of the display. Push your L-OUT key to UNLOCK that channel.....If you have the channels in MORE THAN ONE BANK, then, while in the scan mode, push the L-OUT button of bank 2, 3, 4 until you have all the banks that you have something programmed into scanning....NOTE, the scanner will not scan through a bank that DOESN'T have anything programmed into it....Guess I'm blind....BUT, I'd say that the locking and unlonking is the same for the 2026 too....Steve

i went out and just tried what you said Wilson. It is almost completly differant. But it still wouldnt work. I went past the 20 channels and pussed the the L/O button. Still didnt work. So i went to the 20 channels it was scanning before and left 3 without the L/O. It scanned the 3 i left out. But when i went and undid all the ones that i pussed L/O on it only scanned the first 20 like it did before. But didnt go past 20.

While it is scanning and not stopped on a channel hit the 2 or 3, or 4 or 5 keys and see if it scans further into the range now...Mine does when I do this.
As has been mentioned, you only have scan bank 1 activated (Ch 1-20) there are 4 more!
Still use my 2026.

well i figured it out. All i had to do is push the buttons to make it scan. Huh weired
