Help with BCT8 and MOT type IIi programming

I am new to scanning and have been searching the local Detroit / Wayne County freq's and am trying to setup the trunk.

It is a Motorola type Iii and has Freq's of

851.2375
852.2375
853.2375
854.2375
855.2375

851.3125
852.3125
853.3125
854.3125
855.3125

So far I have found mixed Fleet ID's and Talk groups

21760

Fleet maps

502-1

My question is how should the MOT Fleet map be set and is there a specific order for these in the Scan lists / group ID's. I have searched the net and everywhere for a guide to programing these and have come up blank.

Those aren't fleet maps, they are Type I Talk Groups. Some of the Type I TGs you have listed correspond with Wayne County Jail Locations. None of the Type II TGs correspond with anything in the RR database.

RR shows this is a Type II system, with all of the Type I TGs listed as "old".
Apparently the system is still running as a Type IIi hybrid system with some of the old TGs still active. See the RR Database for the proper fleet map

Also, from the RR listing, it appears that Wayne County will be upgrading thie system to be compatible with the Statewide APCO P-25 system which will include the City of Detroit.

Once that happens, you won't be able to hear public safety on the BCT8.
