Help with CLMRN Troop "D"

I want to program my Unication G5 to receive CLMRN troop D, Danielson. I am in the area in Western RI every morning for a little while and I want to see if I can hear any activity. I am interested only in the P25 system since I am using a Unication for RISCON as well. The software for Unications has a Radio Reference button to import so I am assuming THIS: Connecticut Land Mobile Radio Network (CLMRN) Site: Troop D Simulcast is what I want to import. I have 1 extra knob position on the radio I can use, so whatever I can fit in there as far as talk groups. I am not familiar with CLMRN at all. I have the system, and control channels, but not sure which talk groups to choose. The Unications only allow 64 per system.

I would suggest 151 Troop D, 153 Troop D secondary, 5495 Eastern CT police hotline, 8751,8752,8753,8755 for QV Fire, for the basic and busiest talkgroups.

Oh, don't forget Troop E as well for southeastern CT. TG 201 & 203. Depending on where you go, see if you can lock onto the 773.93125 control channel for this area.

you just need to put in 774.88125, 852.2000, 852.5875, and make sure you put in the appropriate system/site IDs. You can go on the main page for the CLMRN and search "Windham" all of the towns in Windham County that have talkgroups are marked. And you can add D Disp 1 and D Disp 2 as stated above.
the D site more than likely will carry traffic from neighbor sites such as C, K, and E, so you could add those troops as well if you choose to. Just matters what you're trying to hear.

All I see for Windham County is "Site:25 (019) Name: Troop D Simulcast County: Windham Channels: 12 So I checked off those 3 Primary Freqs like you said. Now on the right hand side of page (in the radios software) are all the TALK GROUPS. I checked off Windham County QV and Windham County WW (Incident 1,2 3). Again I will be listening from Western RI, Foster area. Elevation is high here. Thee Unication only allows 64 talk groups to a system. I will go thru the list and pick what I think will work. All you need are the control channels and system/site ID. Personally I'd put the whole system in but if you're only going to be near the D area, it won't hurt you not to have the rest.

Depending on what you put in your scan list, you would probably hear traffic from neighboring sites off of the D site, or set the pager for monitor and you don't have to pick any talk groups It just passes all traffic.

Well was able to pick up a few transmissions early in morning, so its working pretty good!

Bob, I didn't see a lot of traffic on TRP D. Troop E and K were busy. Put them in knob 8 zone 2 & 3. Groton, Norwich, Ledyard.

Try 853.9125. Not listed, But worked for me.

That is a CC for Troop K, it is in the database

I don’t know. I tried it a few years ago,
Worked great on troop E. I believe I was searching for frequencies a few years ago.
