When I power on the PSR-500 while holding the 3 key, I see this:

uP Appl Ver:F1.1
DSP App Ver:F1.1
DSP Voc Ver:F1.0

The manual says this should be the Boot, CPU, and DSP versions, but this doesn't correspond with what I see.

Which one is CPU? What is "Voc"? Can anyone decipher this?

uP Appl is the CPU version
DSP App is the DSP version you can update

DSP Voc is the VoCoder version, and to my knowledge is not user upgradable.

Great, thanks. Looks like I am up to date, and the Boot (loader) version is no longer displayed, for whatever reason.

The boot loader version is very quickly shown at power up prior to the welcome screen.
It's still 1.0.

I was looking through the posts, but I can't tell what changes were made with the CPU upgrade. Can anyone enlighten me?

Also, will the upgrade help on monitoring CPPSK systems?
