I was trying to import THIS SYSTEM But it doesn't appear in the RR database when using Proscan. It is in the RR database when I BROWSE but when I try to import, it isn't there. Radio is BCD996P2 (DMR upgrade) using Omni X antenna.
Scroll down and you will see themOK sorry, my mistake....I thought under "County Trunked System" I had Providence checked....But I brought it up in Proscan and unchecked all the items except for SCITUATE cause thats the Rhode Island system I assume. Then GET DATA and it only imported 3 frequencies, but where do I get the talk groups from?
OK But I don't understand why a system in Rhode Island would have access to all those other TG's in other states.....So if I program this I would hear agencies way out in New York as well as RI? Sorry I am new to DMR scanning.
System Name: | OneVoice Network |
---|---|
Location: | Various, CT MA NH NJ NY PA RI VT |
Perhaps put the system into ID Search and see what shows up.But I am still not understanding why there are no talk groups for Rhode Island. Most of the data is for New York. I uploaded the correct frequencies and Scituate is 1 town over from me. But all the TG's are for New York!! Sorry I am just not understanding.
This is a very wide area system, which happens to have one site previously identified in Rhode Island. Just like with any wide area trunked system, you're only going to hear traffic that is carried on that site, nothing else. So no, generally speaking, you're not going to magically hear stuff from NY or NJ on the Rhode Island site, unless for some odd reason a radio happens to be affiliated and is pulling traffic to that site.OK But I don't understand why a system in Rhode Island would have access to all those other TG's in other states.....So if I program this I would hear agencies way out in New York as well as RI? Yeah I think this site is down for the count. I have it programmed in DSD plus and SDR trunk and have never heard a peep. So it probably is not in use. When you scan it, "NFM" shows up so no control channel active. This is a very wide area system, which happens to have one site previously identified in Rhode Island. Incidentally, that site may not even exist anymore. Per the list I have, Site 62 is in NJ, not RI.
