I'm trying to identify 158.97. It's in my scanner as a MHP repeater extender for their lo band but I've never heard those guys use it. Tonight I heard repeater traffic and it sounded like what might be a small town police department--Car 44, Car 45, etc. They mentioned Highway 64. I checked the TN., MS., & AR FCC file and couldn't come up with it. Any clues as to who it is?

I looked up that frequency in the police call book. Only things I found in Tennessee were for "State of Tennessee" "Town of Lafayette" "City of Alexandria" and county of Chester. May be Tn hwy patrol?? that's the only reason I would think of it being near hwy 64. Those other Towns are outside of Nashville.

From serching the Fcc data base looks like it would most likely be Memphis State University security KNHU612. It is the input for 154.8600 repeater and Us highway 64 goes through Memphis.
