Set the radio for Close Call and the first transmission will tell you what you want.

Rich

Edit: Assuming that you are close enough to the radio.

If you have one of the radios, key up on a dead channel while in search mode, but if you look inside the battery compartment you frequency should be sticker ed in there

RE;

The radios that the company are using are cp200, cp200xls, and cp200d. Is there way to get a program to pull all the data off the radios so i can program additional radios?

There's no easy answer for that.
It could be YES or NO.

NO if it's a VHF system. There is no standard offset for VHF systems in the 138-174 MHz range.
However, you can still use the FCC search below.

Yes if it's UHF. (and up)
Here's a list of the standard repeater offsets from the RR Wiki
Offset - The RadioReference Wiki

If you know the name and address of the Licensee (assuming they are licensed) you can search the FCC database.
Or ........
Once you know the input, you can search for it in the FCC database to get the license info and all of the assigned frequencies.

I have the name of the company- Its Lagoon Corporation. I have looked at all of their frequency but it doesn't say anything about input frequency. This is a UHF system.

There are 5 licenses assigned to Lagoon or Lagoon Corporation. I don't know which one you are looking for. Looking at the frequencies in the FCC data base shows both UHF and VHF frequencies but doesn't show any repeaters. A repeater would have a designation of FB2. There are fixed bases (FB) and mobile/portable (MO) radios. There are 3 active licenses and 2 expired licenses. One license has 1 VHF frequency (154.5400 MHz); One license has 1 UHF frequency (461.0125 MHz) and 1 license has 19 UHF frequencies. You will have to figure out the PL/DPL code ( if they are using one) as PL/DPL codes are assigned locally and not by the FCC.

If you have the CPS to program your CP200D, why don't you just read one of the company radios?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the licensee doesn't know you're planning on this. If so, all you would have to do is ask for the frequency info. There are many reasons why, but programming and using the radio without the licensee's permission is illegal.

The program i have is not a Motorola program. I just bought it off eBay. The licensee does not know the correct frequency as the person that does that is out of state.

You may want to take a look at this thread:

http://forums.radioreference.com/motorola-forum/74748-you-looking-free-programming-software.html

Odds are whatever you bought won't work with your radio as only Motorola CPS works with Motorola radios. If you didn't buy it from Motorola, even if it is the correct software, it's illegal as Motorola's software agreement prohibits resale of the software.

Some of the other considerations are the alignment of your radio and the number of radios authorized on the license. If your radio is improperly aligned and throwing sporadic emissions elsewhere, it could cause harmful interference that the licensee could be held liable for, and if your radio puts them over the number of radios they're licensed for, you would be forcing them into actionable non-compliance. I would recommend asking them who their radio shop is, and have them program the radio. They will confirm that you have permission and that the radio is properly aligned. There is a lot more than just finding out the frequencies and tone.

They are registered for 4000 radios so that isnt a problem. They send there radios all the way out to las vegas

KA39323 is for 461.0125, simplex only, for 1 radio

WNZG961 is for 154.540, simplex only 1 base station and 60 portable/mobile radios

WPJQ920 is for 11 UHF Simplex frequencies at Location 1 and 5 UHF Simplex frequencies at location 2 and is for a maximum of 200 radios per frequency (this is a potential for 3200 radios, but only 200 on any given frequency at any given time)

Nowhere in those frequencies is there a license for a repeater. Even the expired licenses do not contain any repeater pairs or station classes.

Send your radio to Cara Enterprises, it ensures everything is on the up and up and will save you trouble in the future.

Sounds good. I dont think they have there own repeater i think they use a local repeater. I will send the radios there and end all of this confusion. Thank you

If you really need to ask this, you should not be programming the other radios.

Also, use Close Call mode not search mode. CC will be instant while SEARCH may take several minutes and may result in wrong info if it picks up a spur.

Why not just ask your company or the place that programmed their radios for the info? They would know.
