Help with KCMO

Hey I'm new hear. i found this website today and have been reading it for about 4 hours. i Live south of KCMO right by that Missouri Highway Patrol troop A. I work a security gig for a while in KCMO and while we were working we listened to KCPD on a scanner or radio. it was always dark so i never did see a name on the device but i really enjoyed hearing the KCPD. i remember there was 4 or 5 different stations Metro and South is what we monitored. i have been reading all about the new KCPD radio stuff( but you guys are really educated on this stuff and I'm not so if you respond treat me like a kid). i have a Radio shack pro-70 that i use for lees summit and Jackson county but what do i need to do to hear KSPD. thanks

You will need a P25- Digital Capable scanner. like a BCD-996XT, BCD-396XT and GRE's PSR-500/600, or the Radio Shack Pro-106.

Yes, but the new MO statewide system is not active in the KC area just yet.
