I am using the latest SDR Trunk version. But I never checked out that MAP section till now. It defaults to Syracuse, NY for some reason. What is this map feature used for? What does it supposed to do? How do you set it up to show the correct location?

it's based on what units are broadcasting their GPS coordinates. than SDRtrunk can decode that information and display it on the map. a lot of places don't broadcast their location for public use

If you see any entries on the left, clicking on them will center map on that radios location.

Go in your playlist editor. Select your systems in the Channels tab. Check to see if Ignore Data Calls is checked.. If it is, uncheck it. Having it on will prevent gps data from some systems to not appear in the map section.
